E-Motion Step Two: Setting Intentions and Making Time for YOU

Most of us lead active lives that center around the needs and wants of others. This small task will allow YOU to focus on YOUR intentions from the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of your being. (note: You will need paper and a pen/pencil).

Take a moment (usually about a half an hour, or so) and BE in just YOUR energy. Find a room, close the door, and BE in your own space and energy without external distractions (e.g., cell phone, television, people, etc.). Write down your intentions for each aspect of your BEING. For example:

Physical: I intend to make sure I get more sleep.

Emotional: I intend to cry when I need to cry rather than hold in my tears.

Mental: I intend to read a book or write in a journal for fun.

Spiritual: I intend to spend more time in peaceful silence with myself.

Call upon the Angels and Your Higher Self (your Soul), to assist you during this process. Writing down your intentions will place them into the visual parts of your brain. This will activate a physical connection between your brain and your intentions, and allow you to “see” your intentions rather than just think about them. Do not worry if your intentions focus on only one or two aspects of your being (e.g., physical and emotional). Over time, your intentions will grow to include the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual parts of your being. There is also no such thing as having “too many” intentions.
